Happy Birthday Sophie!!

Hey guys

Today is the 18th September, what's special about a cold mid September day in autumn?

Not much really except today is my friend Sophie's birthday! She turns 15 today! Woo!

Yesterday and in the days leading up today I was really quite puzzled

of what present I should get on her birthday so me and my mum did a little thinking...

and Sophie you know what we got you,love my mum such a life saver and a sweet heart :) x

OK, so we've know each other since induction day (as some of you may know) 

and we've been friends ever since:) 

                                                                         So heres a poem to start this post :)

If Friendship were a cake, which ingredients would it have?

The Cake Of Friendship

Preheat the oven of love

With plenty of secrets and hugs

Mix in giggles and laughs

That make your sides split in half

Bake with the love and care

And all the things you both should share

Decorate with the frosting of trust

This is really a must

Enjoy the cake do not eat it fast

we always used to sit next to each other,one of my fondest memories in it

Berlin and languages

There are a lot of things I'm mad about,two of them are languages and travel ..

My mother tongues are Gujarati and Hindi which I'm fluent in. Also,I can speak French and German reasonably well and can understand Urdu and Punjabi quite well so I'm quite Multilingual or Quadlingual?.......Recently as part of my G.C.S.E German course I had the opportunity to visit Berlin. I think it was absolutely amazing experience,it help practice my language skills in a real context and made me realise that what theoretically in class is really useful in the real world and what may seem Gibberish at first is a doorway to a new world to explore and communication with others you aren't likely to talk to...if you don't speak their language.

The Facts 

Around 75% of the world's population don’t speak a word of English and a grasp of a different language improves your abilities to use your first language and explore other cultures more successfully.

According to research, on average, people who use languages in their jobs earn around 8% more!

Many scientists also believe that knowledge of another language can boost your brainpower. A study of monolingual and bilingual speakers suggests speaking two languages can help slow down the brain's decline with age. And to quote Nelson Mandela, "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart." -Ref.www.bbc.co.uk

Bilingualism brings with it many benefits: it makes the learning of additional languages easier, enhances the thinking process and fosters contacts with other people and their cultures.

There are about 225 indigenous languages in Europe - roughly 3% of the world’s total.

Most of the world’s languages are spoken in Asia and Africa.

In this post i going to explore what I believe  LOVE is to me....

or is it just attraction?

Is just being fond of someone

or is it caring.

It can neither be bought or borrowed.

It can be only felt..

For your friends,family& for that special someone...

Can you feel their sorrows and Joys...

When they are around you do you feel a warm glow?

What I think?

There are many types of love,For Family,For close friends.

Some maybe stronger than others,when you lose

a loved one the more you regret/repent.

you realise how much you loved them.

when you have an argument or sever ties with someone

you realise.

You may not express it,it may not even 

be felt but if intent is there somewhere in the 

back of the mind or a corner of the heart.  

THAT'S WHAT MATTERS:)...

Sophie is my Bff [i know it sound cheesy but oh well..:)] One the best friends anyone can have supportive,kind and always there for you through thick and thin,there in joy and sorrow,
